The Dream
Hello and WELCOME to SnaptureThis!
Let me take a few minutes to introduce myself! My name is Monica and I am the owner of SnaptureThis. As a young girl crafting was always a passion of mine. From painting to photography to creating gallery walls in my dorm rooms and rented apartments I've always had an eye and passion for creating art. I discovered Etsy as a platform in 2013 when I was looking for a customized gift for a friend of mine. I was in awe of how the platform allowed you to communicate directly with artists and creators across the globe to buy one of a kind, unique and beautiful items. It was so special, and it had me thinking. A year later in 2014, I moved from Hamilton Ontario to the big city of Toronto. I was working a full-time job but had an itch to do more. I decided to take a leap of faith and opened SnaptureThis. It started off with prints featuring my photography and digitally created designs. Over time I continued to develop designs and began expanding my products. In 2020, the world completely changed as the pandemic took over the world. I was now working from home and had more time to create and think. I began working with local illustrators on commission to develop some of my most popular items to date beginning with the Toronto Coffee Shop V1 Print. This print featured local cafes in the city and became a best seller super quick. Since then I have worked on 6+ projects featuring other small businesses in the province of Ontario. I've launched tote bags and apparel and will continue to grow this dream! In 2022 I took the biggest leap of faith and opened up a storefront Downtown Toronto! I quit my full-time job and have decided to dedicate all my time into my baby, SnaptureThis. I have brought my best friend, Dunya, along on this new chapter for SnaptureThis. The storefront includes all my products, dried florals, and features incredible local makers and female owned business! In 2024 I decided to hand over my lease, go back to work and return to running my business online. This has been the year of embracing change and growth...Time to see what's next.
Thank you for reading about my journey and follow SnaptureThis on socials to stay in the loop!
